Google has a new service for business

On June 11, 2014, Google announced that it was replacing “Google Places” with “Google My Business.” This new service includes a number of important additions. These enhancements give businesses greater power over their listing and integrate a number of other Google services into their Google My Business listing. Every business owner wants their business to be found on all of Google’s services.

Google My Business or (GMB) permits updating a business’s information on:

  • Search
  • Maps
  • Google+
  • Google My Business

Business can now change their:

  • Business Information
  • Contact Information
  • Operating Hours
  • Website Details
  • Business Descriptions
  • Pictures
  • Location

It is only by updating this information that a business can influence the information which appears in Google’s Knowledge Graph. Google’s Knowledge Graph is the information that shows up to the right of Google’s Search results and includes business photos, a location map, business facts, and other information that makes Google’s Search so effective for businesses. Imagineering Design, who is a Google Partner, will be happy to design, setup, and maintain your Google My Business account.
